The Challenge
The Heritage Group is comprised of many different sub-entities with a wide array of varying disciplines and functions within each sub-organization. Because of this complex structure, there were inconsistencies in the compensation process across the different divisions. This created challenges and inefficiencies, with some companies managing pay increases and bonuses via paper and others via homegrown systems. The Heritage Group wanted to consolidate to a single compensation-based application that followed streamlined workflow processes for approvals.
The Solution
WorkStream was hired by the Heritage Group to implement the PeopleSoft eCompensation module for multiple divisions within the Heritage Group. WorkStream met with business leaders across the various companies to map out the existing current-state business process and introduce the functionality and capabilities available within the PeopleSoft application. WorkStream put together a comprehensive fit-gap analysis and worked collaboratively with the Heritage Group to develop compensation process modeling that was as consistent as possible across the various agencies. Once these process changes were approved, WorkStream led the configuration and build-out of the PeopleSoft eCompensation application and guided the Heritage Group through testing and acceptance before going live. The deployment was a tremendous success, reducing the Heritage Group’s compensation cycle time by 40 percent.
The Results

- Standardized process across divisions — WorkStream developed consistent compensation process modeling across the Heritage Group’s diverse sub-entities.
- Successful configuration and go-live — The PeopleSoft eCompensation module was configured, tested, and taken live across multiple Heritage Group divisions.
