How Franciscan Health stabilized Workday support during a post-go-live team transition

The Challenge

Franciscan Health Alliance had just completed a long-term Workday HCM and Finance deployment. Right after go-live, Franciscan did not yet have the internal team structure in place to effectively support the application, and ticket volume was high. Some features and functionality had also been left out of the original deployment due to timeline constraints, and Franciscan needed to build those out but didn’t yet have the internal team capacity or Workday-specific knowledge to do it.

The Solution

Franciscan partnered with WorkStream for a comprehensive Workday application management services team covering a 12-month period. WorkStream covered a range of resource needs, including Workday HCM and Finance configuration, report writing, integration development and monitoring, and security configuration. That team filled Franciscan’s internal gap right after go-live, deployed the features and functionality left out of the original timeline, and worked to keep the ticket backlog manageable while Franciscan built up its own team.

The Results

Full internal self-sufficiency Franciscan’s internal team became capable of handling all tickets and requests internally after the 12-month engagement.

Complete knowledge transfer WorkStream managed full knowledge transfer so Franciscan’s team was ready for the post-go-live support load.

Ticket backlog kept manageable Support ticket backlog stayed at a reasonable level throughout the transition period.

Omitted go-live features delivered Functionality left out of the original deployment due to timeline constraints was built out and deployed.
